Racecar driver “Walkaway” Madden ( baker ), nicknamed due to his track record of avoiding car accidents, just wants to win the big Manilla 1000 off-road race. Photojournalist CC Wainwright ( Sarandon ) plans to race with him in that race. But Walkaway just wants to get rid of her.
